I had been eyeing this swimsuit for a long time because the colour is so pretty. I got lucky and purchased it on sale a week before a trip to Italy and the fit is even better than I could’ve hoped for!

I find the high cut leg perfect for my silhouette and the corset back allows for a perfect fit because you can adjust it. It’s not TOO high of a leg cut either and I’ve worn it out as a top too.

I will definitely be buying this in more colours and as always, the quality it top notch!

I love the suit, and it’s so so so flattering, but my only complaint is the straps. Because the ties are all connected, if you get them twisted they are IMPOSSIBLE to figure out. It just arrived in the mail and I cannot get the top half to stay put. Because the straps are super twisted in an outward direction they are literally rolling off my shoulders and I’m not even in the water yet. Been trying to figure out how to get them to untwist for the better part of an hour. They get twisted no matter how I try to put it on. Super disappointed because I’ve been wanting this suit for so long and I love everything else about it :(

I was looking for a one-piece as I am just a little insecure about my tummy, post-pregnancy. Historically, I wore cheeky bottoms from VS and Aerie so was looking for a suit with similar coverage, as full coverage makes me feel frumpy. This suit was IT!

I opted for The Corset because I knew I would be chasing a toddler and had concerns that The Minimalist might not hold up and result in a nip-slip. Based on other reviews, I figured out how long I wanted my straps and put a knot in the tie around the first loop to avoid the shoulder straps slacking off, which worked a treat! I felt sexy but never inappropriate, even when with my family on the beach. I was able to swim comfortably, snorkel, and run around after a three year old but felt like me doing it. Just make sure to put lots of sunblock on your cheeks!!

The pomegranate colour is fab! The deeper red is classy and eye catching, without going full “Bay Watch.” The fabric is thick and didn’t get baggy or loose when wet.

My one caveat: this suit might not work for longer torsos. The top of the front was low on me, even with the shoulder straps tied quite short. While I never fell out or “nip-slipped,” a combination of a bigger chest and longer torso might result in a wardrobe malfunction.

I highly recommend The Corset, especially for those who want to feel a little sexier without showing off their belly.
